The world’s largest blockchain conference kicks off 265 one-of-kind speaker NFTs to benefit first responders, frontline workers, and those affected by the global pandemic.

Los Angeles, CA — November 24, 2020 — LA Blockchain Summit, the world’s largest blockchain and cryptocurrency conference, today announces the launch of their COVID-19 Relief Auction in partnership with Giveback Heroes and OpenSea to help the heroes and victims of COVID-19 lockdowns. The conference is releasing 265 one-of-one rare conference speaker-inspired Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) for anyone to purchase to show thank you and support to those who have supported us and have been affected by the global pandemic.

Devin Finzer, Co-Founder at OpenSea, said, “We at OpenSea are super excited about use cases that combine charitable giving and NFTs, and Giveback Heroes is doing just that!”

One hundred percent of auction proceeds will be donated to first responders and frontline workers in the form of contact-free, gift code care packages provided by Giveback Heroes. The supporting organization is an apolitical, socioeconomic recovery initiative collaborating with cause-minded organizations & individuals to provide contact-free, gift code care packages for the heroes & victims of COVID-19 lockdowns & social unrest, while collectively stimulating merchant economies.

Giveback Heroes is an initiative founded by Draper Goren Holms’ portfolio company, Giftz’, who’s CEO John Paukulis commented, “We are proud to partner with LA Blockchain Summit Summit and The US First Responders Association to give back to the heroes of this global pandemic.”

The COVID-19 Relief Auction has already begun and is auctioning each NFT at a starting price of $10.00 USDC. The bidding war will last 2 weeks and will end December 4, 2020, to which all proceeds will be donated shortly after.

Alon Goren, Founder of LA Blockchain Summit and Founding Partner at Draper Goren Holm, added, “All of the hard and dedicated work that our frontline and medical essential workers have exerted during COVID cannot go unnoticed. The crypto community must come together and show gratitude for all those who’ve helped us – it’s time to help them, and what better way to do so than with the fun that NFTs bring to us all!”
